Pee Wee: $100 first place
Youth: $100 first place
Adult: $200 first place, and $100 second place

CONTEST RULES: Only vocal calling or sounds produced by handheld or breath-operated instruments may be used. Electronic devices and the use of props such as trees, breaking branches and other devices are prohibited. Calls, grunt tubes or other instruments used may be a maximum of 4 inches in diameter and no more than 36 inches long.

CALLS: Contestants will base their calls on the following sequence: 45 seconds for cow/calf sound, followed by 45 seconds for bull sounds. Calling times for Pee Wee Division will be 30 seconds per call. When caller makes his or her first call, the time will start. Any contestant exceeding this time will be disqualified. Callers must produce sounds specified by the announcer within 15 seconds from the time the announcer asks. When the caller makes his/her first sound, an official of the contest will start a time clock.

CALLING SEQUENCE: Each contestant will draw a number from a hat. One more number than the actual number of the contestants will be placed in the hat. The contestant that draws #1 will draw again and call twice. Contestant #1 will be scored but the score will not count. Scoring will begin with contestant #2. This process will provide judges a chance to tune their ears. If a contestant misses his/her calling sequence, he/she will be disqualified.

SCORING: Judges will evaluate each sequence of calls and score them from 1 to 20 (1 the lowest, 20 the highest score). An odd number of judges will be used, with 3 the minimum.

TIES: All ties will be settled with a call-off. Call-off scores are not added into the total scores

This event is Co-Presented by International Sportsmen’s Expo and Sportsman of Colorado Radio.
