Happy Independence Day from Sportsman of Colorado Radio! Guide/Outfitter and VP of Discount Fishing Tackle, Austin Parr joins the show to discuss SPEARFISHING in Colorado. Last Thursday, 6/25/2020, Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW) had the Rocky Mountain Spearfishing Association present a measure that would allow spearfishing of ALL GAMEFISH in accordance with current size and bag restrictions. In this instance, spearfishing is being referred to as physically diving under the water and harvesting gamefish with a spear gun, NOT bowfishing. This method of harvest not only makes it impossible to obey strict size restrictions, but also promotes the harvest of our fragile trophy fish populations across the state. Then it’s an Encore presentation of an interview we did awhile back Jim Shockey. Jim has been an Award Winning Outdoor Writer, Wildlife Photographer, Videographer and Wilderness Guide and Outfitter for over 30 years.
